A survey of British art in the collection of the Saatchi Gallery. The cover features the official coronation portrait of Queen Elizabeth, her face is covered by a barcode to symbolise the very commercial nature of many of the artists in the book. The back features a herd of mad cows and a burning British flag. As a result of the design of this book Jonathan Barnbrook was identified by Sarah Kent, (the art critic for Time Out magazine as 'throwing the whole of the young british artist's work down the toilet'. |
