The overall theme of the album was taken from the phrase 'vapour trails' and centres on the idea of the normally invisible patterns in life. First synthesasia - a medical condition that enables the 'sufferer' to see and hear the normally invisible senses. I tried to look in particular at the way sounds are expressed visually in synthesasia. This was the basis for the graphic of 'Tuxedomoon'. The title 'Vapour Trails' used pattern recognition, recording the eye movement when somebody looks at an image in this case the picture of Athens. The letters in the title are placed at key attention points in the picture.
