Following a record breaking year in 2013, Art Basel cemented its reputation as the leading platform for exposing contemporary art galleries to collectors, museum directors and curators. With huge numbers of the general public also in attendance, the three art fairs continue to be key cultural events in their respective locations.
Barnbrook continued to evolve the Art Basel brand by producing a series of engaging and unusual printed matter achieved through exhaustive research and close collaboration with experts in the fields of printing, finishing, book-binding and three dimensional design. Applications ranged from the traditional finishing techniques of embossing and spot-varnishing, to an unusual vacuum-formed book cover for the landmark edition of Unlimited. The on-site show design continued to evolve through large-scale supergraphics, exhibition-style didactic vinyls and animated installations.
